Kevin Strijbos fora do mundial de motocross

Recentemente operado no quadril, Kevin Strijbos anunciou nas redes sociais que não corre mais nesta temporada.

É claro que o piloto da Suzuki infelizmente acumulou lesões e operações nas últimas temporadas e que o seu futuro ao mais alto nível parece, no contexto atual, mais comprometido do que nunca. Mas, apesar das 20 temporadas já passadas no campeonato mundial, o piloto belga de 35 anos não fecha as portas para um regresso em 2021, se a sua condição física o permitir.

Quanto ao futuro, não tenho ideia de como será. Estou tentando trabalhar em algumas opções. Uma coisa é certa que ainda quero correr. Então farei tudo ao meu alcance para tentar consertar isso e estar atrás do gate no próximo ano novamente. Do contrário, será o fim de 20 anos em campeonatos mundiais.

After another surgery last monday on my hip my 2020 season is finished. I had a torn labrum wich they wanted to fix but it turned out it was to damaged so had to remove everything. Its been a really bad year with injurys. Its a shame that i couldnt show Suzuki more in mxgp this year. We putted a lot of work in after the lockdown together with my mechanic @kevin_guilloux , huge thanks for all you did, and felt we made good steps in the right direction so its to bad i couldnt show it in the races. I really want to thank all my sponsors who stepped in to make the team ready so i feel sorry for them i only did a few races. But without them it wouldnt even be possible to be behind the gate. As for the future, i have no idea wich way its gonna go. Im trying to work on a few option. One thing is for sure i still really want to race. So i will do everything in my power to try and fix that and to be behind the gate next year again. If not, then this will be the end. 20 years in world championship racing. But lets not think that way just yet. Also want to thank all the people / fans who still have trust in me and support me in every way. Last but not least my girlfriend @yentlhaazen22ks who has to keep up with my sh*t most of the time. She is a great mother for our kids Jayden and Julie.
